South End commuters will face challenges Thursday morning as crews from the Boston Water and Sewer Commission continue to repair a water main break that has left some in the neighborhood without services, the commission said.
The main broke near the intersection of East Brookline Street and Harrison Avenue late Wednesday night, and the flow of water was shut off around 11:30 p.m., according to the commission.
However, crews are still on the scene as of 6 a.m. Thursday, the commission said.
“Crews remain at E. Brookline & Harrison Ave 4 ongoing repair work, which is expected to affect traffic patterns in the area,’’ the commission tweeted Thursday. “Some services in the neighborhood are affected, we appreciate your patience as we work to restore.”
