Start planning your St. Patrick’s Day festivities early, because Dropkick Murphys are coming to town.
The band, which formed in Quincy back in 1996, have announced a Boston Blowout that spans six shows at three venues over the course of five days next March.
On March 13, the Murphys will play Encore Boston Harbor, following that up the next day with two shows at the House of Blues. The first will be a matinee, while the evening show consists of a special acoustic set followed by a professional boxing card (presented by Murphys Boxing).
Another performance at House of Blues is scheduled for March 15. Then, the Murphys will ship up to the Hub on Causeway for a set at the newly opened Big Night Live on March 16. It all ends with a final House of Blues set on St. Patrick’s Day itself, March 17.
“It’s all about Boston this year,” said singer-bassist Ken Casey in a statement. "We aren’t doing any other shows in March.”
Tickets for the Dropkick Murphys’ Boston Blowout will go on sale this Friday, at 10 a.m., on the band’s official website.
