Town-by-town COVID-19 data in Massachusetts

The Department of Public Health released new town-by-town data for coronavirus cases on Thursday, the latest set of such data showing how the virus has impacted individual communities throughout Massachusetts.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 22, the state is releasing its weekly public health dashboard on Thursday of each week. The dashboard was previously released on Wednesday of each week.

Communities’ positivity rates on this page may differ from positivity rates reported elsewhere, depending on whether or not they use the state’s calculation of total cases out of total tests or a calculation of total cases out of total individuals tested

For example, the state lists a test positivity rate of 1.69% for the city of Boston but the Boston Public Health Commission reports a 9.5% weekly individual positivity rate for the city (as of Nov. 16) on its website.
