The FBI on Wednesday returned to a location in Methuen for the second-straight day to continue a search as part of an ongoing probe, according to a spokeswoman for the bureau.
Kristen Setera, an FBI spokeswoman, confirmed in a phone interview that FBI agents went back Wednesday to a Milk Street address, their second day at the scene. Setera declined to say what the agents were looking for; she said the FBI’s evidence response team was on scene as part of an “ongoing investigation.”
She declined to elaborate on the nature of the criminal probe. Setera said there is no threat to public safety.
Video footage of the search posted to Twitter by a WMUR reporter showed authorities digging in a wooded area with a backhoe.
