In a conference call with players Tuesday, the leadership of the NFLPA announced there would be no preseason games this year.
The news comes in the wake of reports on Monday that indicated the owners had offered to reduce the number of preseason games this summer from two to zero.
In addition, the following information was relayed to players:
•Preseason rosters will be reduced from 90 to 80 players.
•Opt-outs will happen, with amounts still being negotiated.
•The stipend -- in case all games are canceled -- will likely be between $250,000 and $500,000.
•COVID-19 will be a football injury.
