EMass boys’ hockey: Hanover’s Nate DelPrete headlines players of the week

Top performances from EMass. boys’ hockey players in the past week:

Nate DelPrete, Hanover: The senior forward’s hat trick made the difference for the Hawks, who skated to a 5-2 victory over Duxbury.

Andrew Guilfoyle, Marshfield: The junior scored twice and added a pair of assists to propel the Rams to a 5-2 win over Scituate in their debut as a full Patriot League member.

Grant Landon, Hamilton-Wenham: Taking over as the starter for his senior season, Landon made 35 saves as the Generals returned to the Cape Ann League with a 1-1 road tie with Lynnfield.

Corey Legere, Weymouth: A sophomore forward, Legere had a pair of goals and the Wildcats took down Wellesley, 5-3.

Aiden Robinson and Jonathan Surrette, Woburn: The senior forwards each had a pair of goals for the Tanners, who knocked off last year’s Super 8 co-champion Arlington, 4-2, in their Middlesex League opener.

Matt Solari, Whitman-Hanson: With a hat trick, the sophomore forward gave coach Rob Peters a victory in his debut with the Panthers, edging Plymouth South, 4-3.
