COVID-19 cases creeping back up in the US

The Delta variant is driving a rapid and alarming increase in new COVID-19 infections in much of the United States. Most, though not all, of the states with the highest seven-day average of cases from July 8-14 tend to have lower vaccination rates. The charts below illustrate the rise, and show which states are experiencing the biggest increases. Percentage increases are from July 2-14.
