The Celtics will open the playoffs Sunday, April 17 at home against the winner of the Brooklyn-Cleveland play-in game, set for Tuesday, the NBA announced Sunday night.
Boston, which landed the No. 2 seed in the East after beating Memphis Sunday night, was 3-1 against the Nets this season. The Celtics were 2-1 against the Cavaliers this year.
