A man has died following a Saturday night shooting in the South End, Boston police said Sunday.
The shooting occurred near 58 West Dedham St. around 10 p.m. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Officer Andre Watson.
No arrests have been made, Watson said, and the shooting remains under investigation.
The victim is awaiting an autopsy, Watson said. If his death is declared a homicide, it will be the 20th in the city this year, Watson said. He could not immediately provide the total number of homicides in Boston at this time last year.
