Lining the route of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Boston, jovial crowds joined in on the celebration of the holiday on Sunday.

Earlier, local political leaders, including Governor Maura Healey and Mayor Michelle Wu, gathered for the annual St. Patrick’s Day breakfast, where attendees sang and made jokes.
