Re “Healey taps senator for new rural affairs post” (Metro, May 23): It seems that the description of Anne M. Gobi’s job as the newly appointed director of rural affairs by Governor Maura Healey is to make them a whole lot less rural.
When I see the terms “economic development” and “rural towns” in the same sentence, it usually means free rein for developers to begin reducing the rural nature of those towns.
