Patriots place defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve

The Patriots announced on Tuesday that they have placed defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve. Ekuale, who is in his third season with the Patriots, was injured in the first half of Sunday’s victory over the Jets.

In addition, the Patriots released defensive back William Hooper from the practice squad.
