Auburn man, Conn. woman killed in wrong-way crash in Webster

A man from Auburn and a woman from Dayville, Conn., were killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 395 just north of the Connecticut border in Webster on Saturday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.

A vehicle that was headed the wrong way on the southbound side of I-395 crashed into another vehicle near Exit 3 about 10:17 p.m., just moments after State Police were notified of the wrong-way driver, the agency said in a statement.

The wrong-way driver, a 31-year-old Auburn man, and the driver of the vehicle he struck, a 35-year-old Dayville, Conn., woman, were killed in the crash, State Police said. Their names were not released.


State Police are investigating the crash. No further information was immediately available.
