Anna Guaracao is a researcher for Boston Globe Today, producing and conceptualizing segments for the nightly magazine news show. She also has written for the Globe Magazine on topics concerning Latino mental health trends and dance culture in the Boston area. Before joining The Boston Globe and Boston Globe Today, she worked at CNN and CNN en Español’s story-vetting and fact-checking team in Atlanta, where she reviewed news items before broadcast or publication online. In 2023, Guaracao received her master’s degree in journalism from Boston University and was honored by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) as an Emerging Journalist. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she graduated from Villanova University, where she double majored in communication and sociology. She has also interned at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a special agency of the United Nations located in Rome."
