Brittany Bowker is a reporter on the Express Desk for Boston Globe Rhode Island. She is a versatile, award-winning journalist with experience reporting, editing, and producing news. She covers a variety of topics, including breaking news, lifestyle, and human interest stories. She most enjoys writing about health, wellness, and social issues. She was the digital producer for the Living/Arts section and a news producer on the homepage team prior to joining Globe Rhode Island. In 2019, she was recognized with a first-place prize from the New England Newspaper & Press Association for her series on food insecurity on Martha’s Vineyard, which was published in the Martha’s Vineyard Times, a newspaper she assistant edited and reported for before joining the Globe in 2020. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2016 with a degree in journalism and public health, and is from Southboro, Mass.
