Lissandra Villa Huerta

Lissa is a national politics reporter at The Boston Globe. She has previously worked at BuzzFeed News and TIME magazine, covering politics in Washington and across the country. Originally from Mexico, she immigrated to the United States with her family as a child. She grew up in Iowa, where she was exposed to presidential candidates traveling through her hometown— the reason she first became interested in politics. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 and started covering politics full time immediately after, landing her first full-time job at BuzzFeed News a week before Trump was elected president.
