Nicole Yang started as a Patriots beat reporter in 2020. She has chronicled the football journey of several players, including Rhamondre Stevenson and Demario Douglas. As much as she likes analyzing the team's play and roster moves, Nicole also enjoys writing about the players off the field. Her story on Cam Newton's custom hatmaker finished in the Top 10 of APSE's short feature category in 2020.
Nicole joined the Globe's staff after graduating college from Amherst College in 2017. She previously covered all Boston sports, and still contributes to the Globe's coverage of the Celtics and Olympics. Some of her other stories involved learning how to play Settlers of Catan with Grant Williams and spending the day at the barbershop with a number of Celtics.
Nicole is a proud member of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Association of Women in Sports Media.
