Rick Seto is in his third stint at the Globe after working as a co-op for the NorthWest Weekly bureau while getting his journalism degree at UMass Amherst in 1992 and later as a freelance writer for South Weekly. The Boston native has worked as a rim/slot/layout sports copy editor at Springfield in addition to a short stint as a news copy editor at Lawrence. The Dracut High graduate has covered high school sports for Springfield and Northampton as well as the Patriot Ledger in Quincy, where he was the high school sports coordinator for nine years. Rick has won three awards for his high school coverage. He spent 13 years working as a sports copy editor and associate manager at Bleacher Report, where he helped coach up fellow editors and helped maintain its house style guide. A Chinese American who is a longtime member of the Asian American Journalists Association, Rick lives in Weymouth with his wife and two college-aged children.
