HOSPITALITY Hospital Records and Embrace have teamed up to bring a couple of drum and bass acts to the Middle East Downstairs for a night of syncopated breakbeats and sweaty dancing. The precocious, Belgium-based Netsky (a.k.a. Boris Daenen) will take his time on the stage alongside prolific Welsh producer High Contrast (a.k.a. Lincoln Barrett). March 14, 8 p.m. 18+ Tickets: $15-$20. Middle East Downstairs. 617-864-3278,

B.U.M.P. The acronym stands for “Boston’s Unscripted Musical Project,’’ one of Improv Asylum’s late-night offerings. The players improvise a Broadway-style, one-act musical Thursdays in March after the main-stage show. March 8, 10 p.m. $10, or free with early-show ticket. Improv Asylum, 216 Hanover St. 617-263-6887,

SINBAD Sinbad has been playing Boston since the 1980s boom days, so he’s familiar with local audiences, and he tends to put on mostly all-ages-friendly marathon shows. It’s not unusual for him to go for two hours. March 9, 7:30 p.m. $25-$39. Wilbur Theatre. 866-448-7849,

BOB MARLEY Maine’s best-known comedy export has played some big rooms, so this Bull Run show is a good chance for fans to see him in a more intimate setting. March 9, 8 p.m. $25. Bull Run Restaurant, 215 Great Road, Shirley. 978-425-4311,

MAZ JOBRANI Some of us still hold a five-year-old grudge against ABC for canceling “The Knights of Prosperity,’’ which helped bring Jobrani to national attention. He hasn’t suffered, though, and will record a new comedy special in Stockholm next week. March 10, 7 p.m. $30.50-$40.50. Wilbur Theatre. 866-448-7849,
