An ‘SNL’ departure?

1. Is Bobby Moynihan planning to leave “Saturday Night Live” after this season? He’s in a new comedy pilot, and if it gets picked up, he’ll be moving on. The pilot, called “Me, Myself and I,” is about three periods in one man’s life — when he’s 14 in 1991, 40 now, and 65 in 2042. Moynihan will play the present-day character.

2. CBS hasn’t confirmed that it is planning a prequel series to “The Big Bang Theory,” called “Sheldon.” But the unannounced show already has at least two cast members. Young Sheldon Cooper will be played by the wonderful Iain Armitage, who is currently stealing hearts in “Big Little Lies” as Ziggy Chapman. Zoe Perry will play his mother. Interestingly, “Sheldon,” which will be from Chuck Lorre, will be a single-camera comedy. “Big Bang” is a multi-cam series with a laugh track.

3. The cast for the new NBC comedy from Tina Fey and Robert Carlock of “30 Rock” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is shaping up quite nicely. Casey Wilson, Busy Philipps, and Bradley Whitford will star in “The Sackett Sisters,” about a family of train wrecks.

4. Who could possibly take the role of Blake Carrington in the CW’s remake of “Dynasty,” after John Forsythe made it iconic? Grant Show, that’s who. The “Melrose Place” veteran has been cast as the oil tycoon in the reboot of the 1980s nighttime soap opera.

5. I told a friend that NBC is planning turn the 1991 movie “What About Bob” into a series with female leads called “What About Barb.” The friend laughed. But it’s all true, and Leah Remini and British actress Jessica Gunning have been cast.
