Last week, Julia Louis-Dreyfus finished her second round of chemotherapy for breast cancer, posting this on Instagram: “Chemo #3: finito. We are NOT [messing] around here.” She also quoted these lyrics from the Katy Perry song “Roar”: “I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and you’re going to hear me ROAR.”

Her “Veep” costars were there to cheer her on. Tony Hale, who plays codependent aide Gary on the show, and Timothy Simons, who plays idiot-creep Jonah, teamed up for a video set to “Roar.” In the video, which Louis-Dreyfus tweeted, Hale plays Louis-Dreyfus and Simons plays cancer — giving Hale the opportunity to take a few shots at his costar. The pair lip-synch and dance to “Roar,” and at the end the screen cuts to the words, “We Love You Julia.”

“How lucky am I that these bozos have my back?,” Louis-Dreyfus wrote. “What a moving inspiration to my day.”

Also last week, the “Veep” cast got together for a table read of the first episode of the seventh — and final — season of the HBO comedy.
