Were you a fan of “The Night Manager,” the six-episode AMC miniseries based on John le Carre’s novel? If so, I have some good news for you. The producers — BBC One, AMC, and The Ink Factory — are reteaming for another le Carre adaptation, “The Little Drummer Girl.”

The 1983 spy novel, set in the 1970s against a backdrop of tensions in the Middle East, involves an English actress named Charlie who is a double agent working on behalf of the Israelis. It was made into a feature film in 1984 by director George Roy Hill, and Diane Keaton starred.

In the new six-parter, Chan-wook Park (“The Handmaiden”) will direct, and Florence Pugh will play Charlie. Pugh recently starred in the film “Lady Macbeth,” and she’ll play Cordelia in an upcoming adaptation of “King Lear” with Emma Thompson, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Watson, and Jim Broadbent.

Sorry “Night Manager” fans, no Tom Hiddleston.
