You’re welcome. I may have solved your holiday gift problem for every TV lover in your life.

There is a “Game of Thrones” Monopoly out there in the world. I didn’t know about it until Hasbro recently announced the second edition of the game. Turns out American capitalism was alive and well in the Seven Kingdoms, too.

Apparently, it’s just like Monopoly except you’re buying, selling, and trading locations from George R.R. Martin’s world. And instead of houses and hotels, you’re building castles and holdfasts. You move around the board with tokens modeled after the symbols of the great houses of Westeros. And that paper money? Think silver stags and gold dragons, also known as coins.

By the way, if you’re going to buy “GoT” Monopoly as a gift, you’ll have to send the first edition. The new version, which comes with an Iron Throne card holder that plays the “Game of Thrones” theme song by Ramin Djawadi, isn’t available until January.
