Local “Game of Thrones” fans will have a chance to sit on the Iron Throne of Westeros this week when it comes to Boston.

Amid the fantasy epic’s final season, the imposing throne will be at Primark Downtown Crossing on Friday and Saturday and visiting fans — who are encouraged to wear costumes — will have a chance to pose for photos as monarch of the Seven Kingdoms.

If you opt for a costume, whether it be from House Stark or House Lannister, you could win a collectible — the first 50 fans who take a photo in costume will get a “Game of Thrones” Funko Pop character.

Fans can see the Iron Throne beginning Friday at 9 a.m. and again on Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. at the shopping center.

If you miss the throne in downtown Boston, don’t worry: It’s coming to Fenway Park on Monday, April 22, according to mlb.com.

However, you’ll need to buy the “Game of Thrones” Red Sox ticket package if you want to get a photo on the throne — and you’ll only have a chance to do that between 5 and 5:40 p.m., first-come first-served. (As of Wednesday morning, the cheapest tickets in the package were $15 each for bleacher seats, before any additional fees.) The ticket package also includes a Red Sox “Bend The Knee” T-shirt, which are available in sizes small through extra-large.
