A musical takeoff on NBC’s “The Office’’ is headed to Boston in November, attempting to wring laughs from the travails of the misfits at Dunder Mifflin (who were plenty funny to begin with).

Titled “The Office! A Musical Parody,’’ and currently running off-Broadway, it is the creation of Bob and Tobly McSmith, the team behind musical parodies of “Friends,’’ “Full House,’’ “Beverly Hills, 90210,’’ and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.’’

Directed and choreographed by Donald Garverick, with music by Assaf Gleizner, “The Office! A Musical Parody’’ will run from Nov. 5-Dec. 1 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Tickets can be purchased at www.bostontheatrescene.com, at the Boston Center for the Arts box office at 539 Tremont St., or by phone at 617-933-8600.
