A new logo for the Children’s Museum

Boston Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum has a new logo, its first since 2003. “We wanted a visually contemporary symbol that conveyed energy and dynamism, but also made clear that the museum is about child-directed play that empowers children,” vice president of marketing and communications Peter Broderick said in a statement. He added that the new logo underscored an idea articulated by Michael Spock, who led the Children’s Museum in the ’60s and ’70s: that the institution is “not about something, but for someone.” The logo is the handiwork of Karin Hansen, the museum’s creative director.
