‘Bomb’ edited by Betsy Sussler

“Bomb: The Author Interviews” (Soho) lets readers into the room for conversations with Martin Amis, Junot Diaz, Jennifer Egan, Sharon Olds, and others about the craft of writing. The 35 interviews, which first appeared in Bomb Magazine, were edited by co-founder Betsy Sussler. Jonathan Franzen opens up to fellow novelist Donald Antrim about his divorce. The great Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño says it was Edgar Allan Poe he idolized as a teenager. And Lydia Davis, master of the short short story, confesses that she gets some of her best lines from her mom who once described someone as “the nicest Republican you could find.”
