In a world where parents can choose e-books or physical books for their children, there’s a middle road. “I Love Music: My First Sound Book” (Scholastic) by Marion Billet is a board book with an e-book-like twist. Each of six animals featured in it plays a different musical instrument. Press the little button in the middle of a violin, xylophone, or one of the other instruments, and what you see is what you hear. Emanating from a violin being “played” by a cat, for example, is a bit of music by Brahms.
