I Heart Fridays at Club Café

Friday, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., 209 Columbus Ave, Boston. 21+. Free before 11 p.m. Cover is $10 after 11 p.m. 617-536-0966,

The deal: For everyone that longs for those classic pop originals and fun diva anthems comes Club Café’s “I Heart Fridays” dance and singalong spectacular. What recently promoted manager and new resident DJ Susan Esthera describes as “completely different than what you’ll find at any other club in town” will ditch the dance music and remixes and focus on a ’90s-to-present mash-up that will take attendees right back to high school. “Club Café is undergoing a lot of changes, so keep your eyes out for more. We want to promote a laid-back atmosphere where people can get together, hear songs that everyone knows, and have some fun.”

The DJs: Esthera with a special performance by local drag favorite Kris Knievil.

What you’ll hear: Classic favorites including Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Spice Girls, Cascada, Destiny’s Child, Madonna, and Missy Elliott.

Who goes: “Club Café is extremely diverse these days,” says Esthera. She says she expects to see a mostly late-20s/30s crowd “because that is the age group that will know the songs” but welcomes all ages to attend.
