The deal: The highly anticipated Together Festival will kick off seven days of music, art, and technology with renowned DJ and producer Tiga. Known for making crazy and catchy dancefloor tracks that border on pop, Tiga is also the founder of Turbo Recordings (which has its own artist showcase as part of Together on May 17 at the Middle East Downstairs). Together’s executive director and cofounder, Mike McKay, says the event will bring together all walks of life. “We’re doing a lot of different stuff, both mainstream and unusual,” he said. “We want to give the people a chance to come together.”

The DJs: Tiga with an opening set from McKay, a.k.a. DJ Mistaker.

What you’ll hear: McKay says you can expect to hear some quirky beats with a futuristic edge. “Tiga is one of those innovative artists. His [music and style] are forward-thinking.”
