Dancing on the Charles presents Crew Love BBQ

Sunday, 2 p.m., New Boston (Boat), 60 Rowes Wharf Pier, Boston. 21+. Tickets: $10-$30.

The deal: Soul Clap’s outdoor dance party series Dancing on the Charles went on hiatus in 2009 after the homegrown duo started touring abroad more extensively. This year, Soul Clap returns under the Together Festival banner to resurrect the event with their new collective Crew Love. Expect the night to bounce between live music and DJ sets. “Everyone has this one moment that they’re perfect for, and that moment comes at a different time at each party,” says Zev Eisenberg of Wolf + Lamb. Licensing problems have forced a last-minute move from Cambridge to New Boston, a boat at Rowes Wharf. There’s an after-party at the Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge.

On deck: Live music from No Regular Play and Slow Hands & Tanner Ross; Soul Clap, Wolf + Lamb, and DJ Kon will be spinning.

What to wear: “We support colors and patterns, even if they don’t match,” says Eli Goldstein of Soul Clap. “Especially if they don’t match.”

Three songs you’ll hear: “All the Same” by Slow Hands & Tanner Ross; “Birdfeathers” by No Regular Play; “Nobody” by Caserta.

The tip: Because each artist performs sporadically throughout the party, Goldstein recommends attending the whole thing so you don’t miss anything from your favorite act.
