Tuesday Night Television

Critic’s corner: What’s on TV tonight

Greg Gayne/FOX

The Mindy Project 9:30 p.m., Channel 25

Wisely, Mindy Kaling and Fox are rejiggering the show a bit in the coming months. They will be writing out the Shauna character, played by Amanda Setton with an overdone Jersey accent. Anna Camp, who plays Mindy’s best friend Gwen, will change from series regular to recurring guest. And the show will be bringing in a new series regular, a “tomboyish college friend,” who has not been cast yet. This show has potential, but tweaks are definitely in order. Fringe 8 p.m.-midnight, Science

Just as G4 is reairing “Lost” and “Heroes” every week in four-episode batches, Science is now running four “Fringe” episodes every Tuesday night. And the show, about the crazy possibilities of futuristic science, is a perfect match for the channel, which is a sibling to Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, and ID. Meanwhile, over on Fox, “Fringe” is gearing up to wrap its fifth and final season with a two-hour episode on Jan. 18. Pictured: Josh Jackson and Anna Torv.
