Critic’s corner: What’s on TV tonight

    OWN

In The Bedroom With Dr. Laura Berman 10 p.m., OWN

Oh, she goes there all right. Dr. Laura Berman is a radio host, therapist, and professor of OB-GYN and psychiatry, and she’s willing to talk about it all. Her style is more subtle than, say, that of Dr. Ruth, as she addresses the intimacy issues between couples who are willing to put their problems on TV. Berman (left) asks provocative questions, gives the troubled couples exercises, and inevitably and quite expertly gets them to cry.

    Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 9:30 p.m., Channel 5

James Van Der Beek, as himself, is the best part of this show. In tonight’s episode, he makes his debut on “Dancing With the Stars,” which could be funny but could also be painfully promotional since “Dancing” is another ABC series. Meanwhile, this comedy is definitely “on the bubble,” so don’t get attached.
