Critic’s Corner: Friday, December 14

IFC

Winter in Portlandia  10:30 p.m., IFC

The show doesn’t return for season 3 until Jan. 4, but IFC is giving us a little holiday gift with a dose of Carrie and Fred. The half-hour special includes a sketch of the “Women & Women First” bookstore owners trying to change a baby without finding out the baby’s gender, since they don’t believe in “binary gender codes.” Also, Peter of Peter and Nance tries to quit pasta. By the way, Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen (above) are on “Late Show With David Letterman” tonight at 11:35.

Celebrity Holiday Homes  9 p.m., HGTV
