Zombie Apocalypse 10 p.m., Discovery Channel

When the world ends on Friday, I hope the Discovery Channel wins a Pulitzer in heaven for its coverage. Discovery has been all over this baby. This special looks at four people who have formed the Kansas Anti-Zombie Militia and are preparing for mass death by the walking dead. One of them is a mother teaching her children how to kill zombies. Also in the mix: medical and scientific experts who believe that a virus causing zombie-like symptoms is possible.

The Iranian Americans 9:30 p.m., Channel 2

After the 1979 revolution in Iran and the rise of Ayatollah Khomeini, tens of thousands of Iranians of many different religions came to America to settle. This documentary, by Andrew Goldberg, looks at their lives over the past three decades. Goldberg talks to a number of prominent Iranian-Americans, including former Beverly Hills Mayor Jimmy Delshad and Citicorp vice chairman Hamid Biglari.
