All-Star Celebrity Apprentice

9 p.m., Channel 7

Last week, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said in a radio interview that he would be happy to appear on this show. “I think Republicans would be so much better off to relax and go on shows like that and be interesting,” he said. Does appearing on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” alongside Gary Busey, LaToya Jackson, Dennis Rodman, and Brande Roderick, make you interesting? The ratings of last Sunday’s premiere were down 38 percent from last year’s premiere, which makes me feel badly for Donald Trump . . . not for a second. Above (from left): Piers Morgan, Roderick, Claudia Jordan, and Jackson.

Red Widow

10 p.m., Channel 5

The premiere of this new series last Sunday was absurd, as Radha Mitchell’s Marin County widow too-quickly evolved from housewife to drug smuggler. Perhaps the second episode will be less of a strain, as she gets further sucked into the world of the mob boss played by Goran Visnjic, who brings plenty of I’m-so-cold-blooded finesse to his performance. Like “Celebrity Apprentice,” this show had a lackluster premiere last week, ratings-wise.
