Dance Moms 8 p.m., Lifetime

I was at a friend’s house the other night and “Dance Moms” was on. . . . OK. I was watching “Dance Moms” the other night. And it is one of TV’s most repulsive and toxic series at this moment in reality TV. This thing is filled with showboating, contrivance, and, oh yeah, the psychological abuse of kids. The mothers look like drag queens with wigs on and Abby Lee Miller (above) is a ridiculously exaggerated monster. Tuesday night, Lifetime is serving up a two-hour episode for your vomiting pleasure.

Ten celebrities will train and compete in platform and springboard diving. Extreme skier Rory Bushfield, “Baywatch” lifeguard Nicole Eggert, “Drake & Josh” star Drake Bell, comedian Louie Anderson, and Hugh Hefner’s Kendra Wilkinson are among the stars you know you absolutely cannot wait to watch.
