Put a bird on “The Real World.” It’s going to the artisanal capital of the universe this season, so expect well water in that hot tub. There will be a dog in the house, too. By the way, cast member Johnny Reilly is a local boy, from West Bridgewater, and the MTV blurb about him implies that — big surprise — he will be hooking up with one of the roommates when “the beautiful Averey catches his eye.” This is the 28th season of the show, which premiered in 1992.

Nashville 10 p.m., Channel 5

Finally, the show returns with a new episode. Rayna is a free agent now, so maybe we’ll see her dating. She’s probably destined to wind up with Deacon, but he is scheduled to meet a new love interest on Wednesday night played by Susan Misner. We’ll have to deal with the fallout from the sexual liaison between Gunnar and the totally, completely annoying Scarlett. Asked about how the season might end, “Nashville” creator Callie Khouri told the Hollywood Reporter, “We’re looking at putting them all on a bus and sending them over a cliff!” Khouri wrote “Thelma & Louise.” Pictured: Sam Palladio as Gunnar and Clare Bowen as Scarlett.
