THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK

(HBO on Comcast) The tough-guy interplanetary prisoner played by Vin Diesel in David Twohy’s snappy 2000 B-movie “Pitch Black” is resurrected as a less considerate Keanu Reeves in a bald bid for “Matrix”-like success. This time, Riddick is drafted to save the universe from the Necromongers. Featuring Dame Judi Dench and Thandie Newton in a highly enjoyable turn as a futuristic Lady Macbeth. (PG-13; runs through May 6)

FAT ALBERT

(HBO on Comcast) Tired of talking about what’s wrong with young black America, Bill Cosby has decided to take his famous cartoon gang out of mothballs and co-write a well-meaning live-action movie that celebrates what’s right about it. It’s a bland time for sure, but the clothes are cheerful. And pity the parent and small-child combo (of any race) that doesn’t appreciate the movie’s toasty message of high self-esteem. (PG; runs through May 6)

YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS

(Comcast Free Movies) Neil LaBute’s look at savage sexual game-playing sends six contemporary urban types to bed, all miserably, an inevitability considering how little they bring to it. (R; runs through July 17)
