    David L. Ryan/Globe Staff/file

    Frontline  10 p.m., Channel 2

The always up-to-the-minute news series takes a look at aspects of the recent events in Boston. Tuesday’s installment is titled “Top Secret America: 9/11 to the Boston Bombings” and is an updated version of an installment that aired in September 2011. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dana Priest examines many aspects of the US war on Terror, from the improved sharing of information between government and law enforcement agencies to the “dark side” of effort including the use of black site prisons in foreign countries.

Who Gets the Last Laugh?  10 p.m., TBS

If you’re looking for some lighter fare and seeking laughter as the best medicine, this new hidden camera series, hosted by “Scrubs” veteran Donald Faison, from TBS might fill the bill. A host of comedians, comic actors, and veteran mischief makers — including D.L. Hughley, “Saturday Night Live” alum Cheri Oteri, and Bam Margera, late of “Jackass” — dream up pranks to play on unsuspecting members of the public. Audience members decide which was the funniest and award $10,000 to the charity of the winner’s choice.
