2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
    Saturday, 9 p.m., HBO

This year’s inductees included Quincy Jones, Heart, Public Enemy, Randy Newman, and (posthumously) Boston homegirl Donna Summer. Having attended the taping at the Nokia Theatre in LA last month — sorry about that incessant hooting during Summer’s induction — I’ll be curious to see how HBO chops down the five-hour evening into a nearly three-hour block. My guess is they will be dramatically cutting the epic speeches given by Flavor Flav of Public Enemy and Jones, during which some disgruntled fans of a certain Canadian inductee began loudly chanting “Rush! Rush! Rush!” Speaking of, make sure you stick around for Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson’s terrifically absurd yet touching speech (pictured).

Saturday Night Live Saturday, 11:30 p.m., NBC

He was snubbed by Oscar for directing “Argo,” but Ben Affleck (pictured) is joining the “Five-Timer’s Club” on “SNL.” We’re guessing since they made such a fuss when Justin Timberlake hit this milestone earlier this season, Ben will have to settle for a smaller welcome party, likely telling him “Argo” five yourself!
