Critic’s corner: What’s on TV Monday night

Michael Tackett/CBS

Under the Dome 10 p.m., CBS

It’s getting wacky and desperate inside Chester’s Mill, what with the accidental shootings, nefarious priests starting house fires, and unexplained seizures. While the acting has proven uneven so far, and some of the dialogue is downright hokey — especially among the teen characters — I’m still intrigued enough by the premise to stay tuned. And apparently, I’m not alone, since the adaptation of the Stephen King novel is a solid ratings success. Pictured: Alexander Koch and Rachelle Lefevre.

IHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party 8 p.m., CW

If you’ve ever imagined what it might be like to party poolside with pop stars at a swanky Miami hotel, here’s your chance to do so without springing for plane fare or worrying about how you look in your swimsuit. Among the artists serenading viewers poolside are Ke$ha, Pitbull, Afrojack, Krewella, Icona Pop, and Jason DeRulo. Miley Cyrus and LL Cool J handle the hosting duties for this corporate radio shindig.
