    Battle in Seattle

(Starz on Comcast) Actor-turned-writer/director Stuart Townsend applies the docu-fiction model to the street protests that rocked the title city when the World Trade Organization came for a visit in late 1999. A big cast plays characters on all sides of the conflict but TV-movie dialogue and Townsend’s muddled sympathies cloud the picture. Featuring Woody Harrelson, Charlize Theron, Ray Liotta, Martin Henderson, Michelle Rodriguez, Andre Benjamin, and Channing Tatum (R; runs through May 31)

    Ty Burr

(Encore on Comcast) Richard Attenborough’s take on the Little Tramp and his complex offstage life hurtles through too much, too superficially, to have much impact. It’s like a 2-hour highlight film, a crash course in Hollywood history. Still, Robert Downey Jr. convinces us with his facial expressions that Chaplin had an inner life, and Geraldine Chaplin is fascinating to watch as her own grandmother. (PG-13; runs through April 30)

    The Fly

(Encore on Comcast) Jeff Goldblum stars in this gory, horrifying metamorphosis of man to insect. As they said in the ad for the original, not for the squeamish. (R; runs through June 30)
