Critic’s corner: What’s on TV Tuesday night

Chopped 10 p.m., Food Network

"Chopped" can be good times. It's fun to watch chefs you've never heard of sweat into their sautee pans as they braise elk knuckles in a Gatorade reduction or whatever. This week's main ingredient is chocolate, but the real star is guest judge Christina Tosi of cultishly drooled-over NYC bakery Milk Bar. Even if she does nothing but wince over some poor sap's desperate preparation of fudge-cod ganache, she's still the inventor of "crack pie" and deserves some time on your radar.

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 8 p.m., USA


Bam! Bam! Bam-bam-bam! Bam-bam-bam-bam! DOG SHOW! Tonight, the ultimate puppy bowl reaches the finals as the world's top pooches doggedly pursue the prestigious best in show trophy — after which they will go back to pursuing large bugs, their own tails, and Snausages.
