The Trip to Bountiful Saturday, 8 p.m., Lifetime

This Horton Foote classic began life as a TV film, migrated to Broadway, then the big screen (for which Geraldine Page won an Oscar), and then back to Broadway in a Tony-winning revival starring Cicely Tyson. “Bountiful” comes full circle with this star-studded Lifetime adaptation that finds Tyson reprising her Tony-winning Broadway role and joined by fellow revival castmate Vanessa Williams as well as Blair Underwood and Keke Palmer. Tyson, who should qualify for national treasure status at this point, remains a theatrical force with which to be reckoned.

Lindsay Sunday, 10 p.m., OWN

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s struggles with substance abuse have sadly eclipsed what was once a promising career. Enter Oprah Winfrey, who apparently thought she could help rehabilitate Lohan’s career — and boost her network’s proflie — with a reality show, here dressed up as a “documentary” series. The preview clips of Winfrey telling Lohan to cut the BS, the paparazzi dogging the actress, and her expressing feeling like a prisoner make it look like this is going to be a very grim ride.
