Critic’s corner:What’s on TV Tuesday night

Fashion Police: The 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards and MTV Video Music Awards 8 p.m., E!

It’s a fashion feast for the E! crew as they have not one, but two glamorous Hollywood trophy-fests to parse — and thus the talk of sartorial hits and misses will grow to 90 minutes. No doubt the quartet of critics — Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, and George Kotsiopoulos — will dish on the pop stars more prone to style risks who attend the MTV soiree, including Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. The TV stars from the Emmys will likely err on the more conservative side fashion-wise, but some, like the always-well-turned-out Kerry Washington of “Scandal,” should offer plenty of fodder. Expect many discussions of trendy colors, cuts, and coifs.

Adam Levine — darling newlywed of the tabloids, “Voice” judge-mentor, People’s official “sexiest” man — gets back to the business that brought him to our attention in the first place with this special focused on his pop-rock band’s latest effort, “V.”
