Critic’s corner: What’s on TV Tuesday night

Happyland 11 p.m., MTV

The former music television network has made some great strides into original scripted programming in the last few years, including "Awkward," "Teen Wolf," and "Finding Carter." The pilot for this new series doesn't bode quite as well but could end up being fun as it explores the employee side of working in a theme park. That is, if the show quickly gets past the fact that two characters end up kissing before they realize they are brother and sister, because that's just creepy.

Makers: Women Who Make America 9 p.m, Channel 2

This episode from the second season of this series that examines women's contributions to industry and culture details their rise in the world of comedy. It features remarks from, among others, Carol Burnett, Ellen DeGeneres, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Lily Tomlin, and the late Joan Rivers.
