Critic’s Corner: What’s on TV Wednesday

My Strange Addiction 10 p.m., TLC

TLC, have I told you lately that I love you? Five seasons of this show was a gift. Six? A blessing. And even better, the season premiere on Wednesday night is about men who will do whatever it takes, including dressing in tight rubber masks and outfits, in order to look like life-size dolls (above). Sweet. We also have much to look forward to later in the season, including a woman who drinks air freshener, a woman who eats bricks, a 31-year-old man who is obsessed with dating elderly women, and a woman who is married to a carnival ride.

    People’s Choice Awards 9 p.m., CBS

These are your awards. Anna Faris and Allison Janney (above from left), the costars of CBS’s “Mom,” are cohosting the annual CBS gala for you. And they’re helping to honor the actors and musicians who do what they do for you. Also for you: performances by Lady Antebellum, Iggy Azalea, and Fall Out Boy.
