    Critic’s corner for Saturday

    Seth Olenick/SHOWTIME

Jay Pharaoh: Can I Be Me? Saturday, 10 p.m., Showtime

The answer to that question: apparently not. The “Saturday Night Live” cast member (above) runs down some of his favorite impressions in this stand-up special, including Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jay Z, and President Obama. We’re hoping his spot-on Denzel Washington also makes an appearance.

On the Record With Mick Rock Sunday, 8 p.m., Ovation

The legendary rock shutterbug — who has shot everyone from Madonna to David Bowie to Lady Gaga, as well as the famed cover of Queen’s “Queen II” — focuses his lens on a new musician each week in this travelogue series. A diverse array of guests, including Josh Groban (left, with Rock), Patti Labelle, and members of the Flaming Lips and the Kings of Leon, take the Brit on a tour of their hometowns and the places that helped shape their sound, from record stores to restaurants to childhood homes. Naturally, each episode ends with a performance from the featured artist.
