The locally grown actor (“Glee,” “Yes, Dear”) and writer (“Shameless”) created Starz’s “Survivor’s
Remorse,” which returns for season three this summer.
Favorite show of all time, and why?
“The Sopranos.” The writing, filming, acting were just extraordinary. The stakes were such that you never knew what was going to happen and there was always great tension in every episode.
Favorite show right now, and why?
I love Netflix’s “Bloodline” — for the same reason. Great writing, acting, filmmaking. I’m still catching up on “Mad Men,” which I also love.
Favorite bad TV, and why?
Any television preacher who is attempting to soak money out of viewers in exchange for their “prayers.” Awful behavior. Appalling. It’s always good to remind yourself of how awful people can be even when they seem to be projecting kindness.

What’s at the top of your Have-to-Watch list?
“Austin City Limits,” “Frontline,” “American Experience,” “Game of Thrones,” and Will Arnett’s upcoming Netflix show “Flaked.”
Which show’s world would you want to live inside?
Hands down — “Bonanza!” Friendship, brotherhood, family. I liked how the good guys usually won.
